Description
Douglas posts 100×100 mm are often used as fence posts to attach garden screens, planks or rebate parts. In addition, a light wooden construction can also be made from 100×100 posts. To make wooden constructions of, for example, verandas, roofs or sheds, we recommend using posts with a larger head size.
Douglas wood has a naturally pink/yellow color and ages beautifully. The beautiful ‘flame’ in the wood is also preserved during and after aging.
The posts are finely sawn, which provides a rough structure that fully enhances the robust appearance of the Douglas fir.
Our rough Douglas fir posts are freshly sawn, which means there is a chance of moisture and resin escaping and the wood working in the first few months.
Douglas wood is graying due to weather influences. Do you want to keep the original color? Then treat the beams with Osmo – Clear UV Protection Oil.
