PuraFence Base Plate
The base plate for the PuraFence H-profile fence post, used to fix posts onto a paved or solid foundation rather than setting them in concrete. Powder-coated steel construction, sized to match the PuraFence post system. The right specification when ground conditions don’t suit a concrete-set post or when a fence line runs across an existing patio or path.
Why use a base plate?
Setting fence posts in concrete is the standard approach when the ground takes them. On paved surfaces, in retained-earth conditions, or where existing structures rule out digging, a base-plate-mounted post is the practical alternative. The base plate spreads the post’s load across a larger contact area and bolts down into the substrate with masonry anchors.
Installation guidance
Bolted to the substrate with masonry anchors at the manufacturer’s specified torque. The base plate accepts the bottom of an H-profile post and fixes through the post’s matching mounting holes. The PuraFence installation manual covers base-plate detailing including substrate requirements and anchor sizing.
Care & maintenance
The powder-coated finish needs no maintenance. Inspect base-plate fixings annually on exposed sites.
Complete the fence
Matching PuraFence H-profile posts, panel kits, and post caps are listed in the related products at the bottom of this page. Specify base plates only on the posts that need them; concrete-set posts do not.
