Sauna Accessories
Sauna accessories are the finishing pieces that turn a lined room into a working sauna: a glass sauna door in a laminated alder frame, Saunawood Protection Wax for walls and ceilings, and alder corner trims in 28×28 mm and 24×24 mm. The door arrives complete with handle and hinges, one 2.7 L tin of wax covers a typical steam room, and everything is stocked in our warehouse and delivered across Ireland.

Sauna Accessories for Sale in Ireland
Once the cladding and benches are in, a few pieces finish the job: a door that stays true through every heat cycle, a finish that protects the walls, and trims that make every corner look deliberate. Each accessory here is made to match our alder sauna wood, so the room reads as one design from door to ceiling.
Sauna doors
The door is opened, closed, leaned on and looked at every session, so it is the part most likely to let a build down. Our sauna glass door is made so it won’t:
- 8 mm tempered safety glass that copes with the heat and humidity cycle; a wipe with a damp cloth keeps it clear.
- A glued, laminated alder frame rather than solid timber. Laminating balances the wood’s internal stresses, so the frame doesn’t bow, twist or drop out of square in a humid room.
- Universal handing: hang it to open left or right on site.
- No raised threshold, so there is no sill to build around and air circulates across the floor.
- Handle and hinges included, with an adjustable latch for a tight, rattle free close.
Sauna wax
Saunawood Protection Wax is a tinted, water based coating that seals sauna walls and ceilings against moisture and dirt and resists mould where condensation lingers. It also works on fibreboard and concrete. Apply it to clean, dry timber with the room at 5°C or more and humidity under 80 per cent. One coat is enough, or two coats thinned with around 50 per cent water for a softer finish. Test the tint on an offcut first, and heat and ventilate the sauna before its first proper use. Keep it off benches, because a sealed seat grows uncomfortably hot.
Alder corner trims
Where cladding turns a corner, trims in the same A grade, knot free alder cap the cut board ends. The 28×28 mm corner trim covers external corners and hides the board ends, while the 24×24 mm internal corner trim finishes internal corners without any mitring or scribing.
Choose the length on the product page to suit the wall height, fix trims with stainless steel only, and order them with your sauna cladding so the colour comes from the same batch. The calculator on each product page works out quantities, and the cart adds the matching extras.
Completing your sauna
For the seats, see our sauna bench boards in 70 mm, 89 mm and 120 mm widths. Wipe the door frame and trims with a damp cloth and mild soap, and keep ammonia and solvent glass cleaners away from the timber.
