Cladding accessories to finish the wall
Cladding boards cover the wall, but the accessories are what make the job look finished and hold it in place. Corners, the ends of runs at windows and doors, and the horizontal lines at sill and soffit level all need a trim, and every board needs stainless fixings. Our cladding accessories are made to go with the composite cladding ranges we stock, in matching colours, so corners and edges blend into the boards.
Types of cladding accessory
Plan for three things on any composite cladding job: corner trims on the external angles, end trims or a fascia wherever a run stops, and stainless fixings for the boards and trims. Every corner trim, end trim and fascia we stock is on our cladding trims page, and the fixings are in our cladding hardware.
- Corner trims: co-extruded trims in Cedar, Teak, Ipé, Light Grey, Dark Grey and Ebony Black, plus composite corner trims for the PuraClassic, PuraTech and PuraClad Legacy ranges, to cover the external angles. Choose the length on the product page.
- End trims: PuraTech end trims in six colours, to close off runs at windows, doors and horizontal lines.
- Fascia: a PuraClad Legacy composite fascia board in Charcoal, to finish sill and soffit lines.
- Stainless fixings: 4×40 mm stainless steel fixings in boxes of 200. Stainless steel is what the trims call for, fixed through pre drilled pilot holes, and the same screws suit the boards, so one type of fixing does the whole wall.
Choosing cladding accessories
Every trim is made for its own cladding range, in the same colours as the boards, so start from the cladding you have chosen. Pick the trim with the same range and colour name and it will match in profile, colour and surface. Order the accessories with your boards so everything arrives together. The calculator on each cladding board page works out the boards, and the cart adds the fixings automatically.
For timber cladding, corner pieces are listed with their boards: cedar L angles sit in the cedar cladding range, and matching corner profiles for each tone are in the charred timber range. See all our timber cladding.
Fitting the accessories
- Battens first: fix cladding battens to the wall to carry the boards.
- End trims: fix them at openings and run ends, then run the boards into them.
- Boards: fix the cladding with stainless fixings up to each corner.
- Corner trims last: fix them over the external corners into pilot holes.

Frequently Asked Questions About Cladding Accessories
Which accessories do I need for composite cladding?
Plan for corner trims on external angles, end trims wherever a run stops at a window, door or edge, and stainless fixings. PuraClad Legacy also has a matching fascia board. Order the accessories with your boards so everything arrives on a single delivery.
Are cladding accessories colour matched?
Yes. Our trims are made in the same colours as the boards they finish, from Cedar, Teak and Ipé to Light Grey, Dark Grey and Ebony Black, so corners and edges blend into the cladding. Choose the trim that belongs to your board range.
Where are the corners for timber cladding?
Timber corner pieces are listed with their boards. Cedar L angles are in the cedar cladding range, and matching corner profiles for each tone are in the charred timber cladding range.
