Egger Boards for Sale in Ireland
Egger is one of Europe’s best known board manufacturers, and Egger MFC is our largest melamine range. Every board is melamine faced chipboard: a chipboard core with a decorative face pressed onto both sides, finished and ready to use. We stock over 100 Egger décors, all stocked in our warehouse and delivered across Ireland.
Egger MFC Sizes and Thicknesses
Every décor comes in the same 2800 x 2070 mm sheet, so you can mix finishes across a project and keep the same panel size. Choose the thickness by the part you are making:
- 18 mm: most décors, the standard thickness for carcasses, shelves and doors.
- 16 mm: a selection of décors, for lighter furniture and back panels.
- 8 mm: a few colours, for drawer bottoms and backs.
- 18.6 mm: the Casella oak boards.
A full 18 mm sheet weighs about 69 kg, so plan for two people to handle it.
Egger Décors
Choose the décor first, then the texture.
Woodgrains
Oak, walnut, acacia, ash, hickory and eucalyptus, from pale bleached oaks to dark walnut. Woodgrain décors are directional, so plan your cutting so the grain runs the same way across doors and drawer fronts.
Solid Colours
Whites, greys and beiges for classic kitchens and wardrobes, plus blues, greens and pinks for statement furniture.
Stone and Material Effects
Marble, slate and concrete effects for worktop surrounds, shop fitting and feature panels.
Painting Grade MFC
Egger’s painting grade board has a primed face ready for your own colour, for when no stock décor fits.
What Do ST9, ST40 and Other Codes Mean?
The ST code is the surface texture pressed into the melamine. For example, ST40 is a deep matt finish. The same décor can look quite different in two textures, so check the code on each product name.
Matching Egger Edging
Every cut exposes the chipboard core. Our ABS edging is taken from the same Egger décors, 23 x 0.8 mm on 75 m rolls, so carcasses, doors and shelves read as one surface.
Where Egger MFC Is Used
- Kitchen carcasses and cabinets
- Wardrobes and bedroom furniture

Frequently Asked Questions About Egger MFC Boards
What colours does Egger MFC come in?
Over 100 décors: oak, walnut, acacia, ash, hickory and eucalyptus woodgrains, whites, greys and beiges, blues, greens and pinks, and marble, slate, concrete, metal, linen and textile looks. Each product page shows the décor and its texture.
What size is an Egger MFC sheet?
Every Egger MFC board is 2800 x 2070 mm, so you can mix décors across a project and keep the same panel size. A full 18 mm sheet weighs roughly 69 kg, so it needs two people to handle.
What thicknesses does Egger MFC come in?
Most décors are 18 mm. A few also come in 16 mm, a few colours in 8 mm, and the Casella oak boards in 18.6 mm. The exact thickness is in each product name.
What do codes like ST9 or ST40 mean?
The ST code is the surface texture pressed into the melamine, for example ST40 is a deep matt finish. The matching ABS edging carries the same décor name and texture code, so face and edge match.
Is there matching edging for Egger MFC?
Yes. Our ABS edging is taken from the same Egger décors, 23 x 0.8 mm on 75 m rolls, so carcasses, doors and shelves read as one surface.
Does the woodgrain run one way?
Yes, the woodgrain décors are directional. Plan your cutting layout so the grain runs the same way across matching panels, especially on a run of doors or drawer fronts.
