      Cladding Trims

Cladding trims finish the corners and ends of a clad wall, covering the joint where two walls meet and the cut ends of composite boards at windows, doors and horizontal lines. We stock colour matched composite corner trims, including PuraFix co-extruded corner trims and PuraTech corner and end trims, each made for its own cladding range. Choose the trim that matches your boards, stocked in our warehouse and delivered across Ireland.

Cladding trims for a clean finish

External corners and the ends of cladding runs are the most visible details on a clad wall, and the easiest place to spot a poor finish. Cladding trims cover them. A corner trim wraps the joint where two walls meet, and an end trim closes off a run at a window, door reveal or horizontal line, so the cut ends of composite boards never show their core. Every trim we stock is made in the same colours as the boards it finishes, so the corners and edges blend into the wall.

        Types of cladding trim

Most cladding jobs need corner trims for the external angles and end trims or a fascia wherever a run stops. Corner trims are angle profiles that wrap external corners without the visible joint of two unmitred boards meeting; end trims finish runs at openings, abutments and exposed ends. Choose the trim made for your cladding range:

        • PuraFix co-extruded corner trim: Cedar, Teak, Ipé, Light Grey, Dark Grey and Ebony Black, made from the same hard wearing composite as PuraShell composite cladding.
        • PuraFix composite corner trim: Charcoal, Slate Grey, Silver Ash, Oak and Walnut, built from the same composite family as PuraClassic composite cladding.
        • PuraTech composite corner trim: Ebony Black, Dark Grey, Ipé, Teak and Cedar, for the PuraTech cladding range.
        • PuraTech composite end trim: Ebony Black, Dark Grey, Light Grey, Ipé, Teak and Cedar, for window openings, door reveals, return corners and sill lines.

        Choosing the right cladding trim

Match the range first, then the colour. A trim made for your boards has the right profile and the same colour and surface, so it reads as part of the wall. To work out quantities, measure the height of every external corner for corner trims, and the length of every window, door and horizontal run end for end trims, then add a piece for cuts. Choose the trim length on the product page; longer trims mean fewer joins up a tall corner. The calculator on each cladding board page works out the boards, and the cart adds the fixings.

        Fitting cladding trims

        • End trims first: fix the end trim with stainless fixings into pre drilled pilot holes through its fixing flange, then run the cladding boards into it.
        • Boards next: clad the wall up to each corner.
        • Corner trims last: fix them over the external corners with stainless fixings into pilot holes.

Composite trims need no painting or oiling. Wash them along with the boards from time to time and they keep the same colour as the rest of the wall.

Cladding trims in Dublin and across Ireland

All of our cladding trims are stocked in our Dublin warehouse with the composite cladding they finish, delivered across Ireland. The co-extruded and composite corner trims also finish decks, so you will find them with our decking trims too. For fixings and everything else, see all our cladding accessories.

Frequently Asked Questions About Cladding Trims

Choose trims from the same range as your boards. PuraTech corner and end trims fit PuraTech 30 and 55, and PuraFix co-extruded corner trims match PuraShell.

Every cladding run ends somewhere: at a window, a door reveal or a horizontal line. Without an end trim, the cut end of each composite board shows the core material. The end trim covers those ends and gives a single clean line that matches the rest of the wall.

Fix the end trim first, then run the cladding boards into it. It is fixed with stainless fixings into pre-drilled pilot holes through the trim’s fixing flange. The PuraTech installation manual covers window reveals, door heads and jambs, and horizontal abutments.

PuraFix co-extruded corner trims come in Cedar, Teak, Ipé, Light Grey, Dark Grey and Ebony Black. They are made from the same hard-wearing composite as the boards, so they resist rot, warping and UV fade and never need painting.

Treat them the same as the boards: give them a wash from time to time. Composite trims need no painting or oiling.
