PuraClad Legacy T&G Composite Cladding
The original PuraClad T&G composite cladding board, in stock and available alongside the newer PuraClad Brushed and Woodgrain ranges. The legacy profile is being transitioned out over time, but it remains in active production and supply: a fully supported cladding system with the same composite credentials as the rest of the PuraClad family.
Silver Ash is a soft, weathered-looking pale grey with hints of warmth, the closest match to driftwood or weathered timber. It softens contemporary builds and lifts shaded courtyards under our typical overcast skies.
Why composite cladding?
Timber cladding in Irish weather is a long-term commitment to oiling, observation, and intervention. Composite cladding removes that maintenance burden entirely. The wood-fibre and polymer blend does not absorb water, does not feed mould, does not split in hard freezes, and does not require refinishing. Once installed and detailed correctly, the cladding line is essentially fit-and-forget.
Where the legacy board fits
The legacy profile suits two specific situations: ongoing extensions to existing legacy PuraClad installations where the new cladding has to match the old, and new projects where the legacy aesthetic is preferred over the current Brushed or Woodgrain ranges. For both, securing project stock from a single batch matters as the range transitions.
Installation guidance
Battened substrate with proper ventilation cavity, T&G locking, fixings through the tongue with stainless screws into the batten. The PuraClad installation manual covers legacy detailing alongside the current ranges, including the compatibility checks worth doing if matching to existing legacy installations.
Care & maintenance
Periodic wash and an occasional inspection. Silver Ash holds its colour predictably; the legacy boards have a track record of even weathering across the range’s life. The PuraClad care guide covers approved products.
