PuraFence Aluminium Balustrade Post
The matching aluminium balustrade post for the PuraFence aluminium balustrade kit. Powder-coated aluminium construction, engineered to transfer balustrade loading into the deck or substrate at the spacing set out in the installation manual. The right post for the kit; substituting other-brand or different-sized posts is not generally recommended.
What it does
The post is the load-carrying member of a balustrade run. It receives any horizontal load applied to the rail and transfers it through the fixings into the substrate. Aluminium construction gives the post good corrosion resistance without the weight penalty of steel, easing handling on site and reducing the loading on the substrate fixing.
Installation guidance
Fixed to the deck or substrate at the spacing set out in the manual, using fixings appropriate to the substrate. The PuraFence aluminium balustrade installation manual covers post fixing patterns, maximum permitted post centres, and the substrate conditions under which the loading is satisfied.
Care & maintenance
Periodic wash. Aluminium does not corrode in normal conditions. Inspect powder-coat finish annually on exposed sites.
