PuraFix™ Composite Corner Trim
A colour-matched L-profile composite trim that dresses the external corners of both composite decking and cladding, giving a sharp, deliberate line wherever two perpendicular faces meet. With a 45 × 45 mm cross-section and a 3000 mm length, one piece covers most corners in a single run — no scarf joints, no visible fixings, no raw edge to draw the eye. Built from the same composite family as PuraPro, PuraPlus and PuraPrime decking and PuraClassic cladding, so the corner blends in rather than reading as a bolted-on accessory. Stocked in our yard for delivery across Ireland.
Where it’s used
On decking, it wraps the external corners of raised decks, planters, benches and hot-tub surrounds, taking the knocks that corners attract from furniture and foot traffic. On cladding, it covers the joint where two clad planes meet at an external corner, hiding the cut board ends and saving the time — and imperfect result — of mitring composite on site. It’s a finishing detail rather than a structural one: the corner still needs to be framed square and the boards cut cleanly underneath.
Installation
Fix with standard composite screws into pre-drilled pilot holes near the ends of each piece to prevent splitting. On decking it goes on last, once the boards and edge or fascia are complete; on cladding it’s fixed to the substrate at the corner before the boards run into it. Measure each corner, count them, and add a piece or two for cuts and returns.
Care & maintenance
The same near-zero upkeep as the rest of the system: colour-fast, weather- and UV-resistant, with no oiling or sealing. A soft brush and diluted neutral cleaner once or twice a year is all it needs — skip the pressure washer and wire brushes. It weathers in step with your boards so the whole installation ages as one.
