Pros and cons
Purpose built corner trim for PuraPro composite decks, gives external corners a sharp, finished line instead of a raw decking edge
Same composite construction as PuraPro decking boards, weather resistant and low maintenance with no oiling, sealing, or annual upkeep required
45 by 45 millimetre L-profile dresses the corner cleanly once the decking and Edge Board are in place, the small detail that lifts the look of the whole deck
3000 millimetre length covers most raised decks in a single piece, no awkward joins partway down the face of a corner
A finishing detail rather than a structural component, the corner still needs to be properly mitred and supported underneath before the Corner Trim goes on

PuraPro™ Corner Trim
Give the external corners of your PuraPro deck the same finished look as the rest of the installation. The PuraPro Corner Trim is an L-profile composite trim designed to wrap external corners on raised decks, giving you a sharp, deliberate vertical line where two perpendicular edges meet. With a 45 by 45 millimetre cross section and a 3000 millimetre length, one piece covers most raised deck heights in a single run; no scarf joints, no visible fixings, no rough corner to draw the eye away from the deck surface itself. Built from the same composite as PuraPro decking and Edge Board, so the corner blends into the deck rather than reading as a bolted-on accessory. Stocked in our yard for delivery across Ireland.
Why use a Corner Trim?
The Corner Trim is a finishing detail, not a structural one. The corner of a raised deck still needs to be properly framed, the decking still needs to be mitred or butted at the edges, and the substructure still needs to be square and plumb. What the Corner Trim does is take that finished but functional corner and dress it; the L-profile sits over the meeting point of the two edges, hides the joint line, and gives you a single crisp vertical line at every external angle. It’s the difference between a deck that looks well built and a deck that looks finished, the same way a skirting board doesn’t hold a wall up but makes the whole room feel complete.
The Corner Trim also protects the most vulnerable part of the deck. Corner edges take the most knocks from garden furniture, hose ends, lawnmowers, and feet; the Corner Trim takes that wear so the decking and edge boards underneath stay looking sharp.
Where it goes and how to install it
The Corner Trim runs vertically down the external corners of a raised deck, covering the meeting point of two perpendicular edges. It’s the last component to go on after the decking, Edge Board, and any stair facings are complete; think of it as the final dressing rather than part of the structural build. Measure the height of each external corner, count how many you have, and add one or two extra pieces for cuts and any returns around stairs or built-in features.
Fix with standard composite decking screws using pilot holes near the ends of each piece to prevent splitting, and butt the joints tight at the top and bottom where the Corner Trim meets the deck surface and the ground. Matching composite trim adhesive can be used on butt joints if you want the cleanest possible finish. The Corner Trim can also be used to dress the external corners of a built in planter or bench faced with PuraPro decking, or to wrap the corners of a hot tub surround built into the deck.
Finishing and maintenance
Once fitted, the Corner Trim needs the same level of care as the rest of your PuraPro deck, which is to say almost none. The composite is colour fast, weather resistant, and built to shrug off rain, frost, and UV without bleaching or splintering. There’s no annual oiling, no staining, no sealing; a soft brush and diluted neutral cleaner once or twice a year handles routine cleaning. Skip the pressure washer, especially on a fresh installation, and avoid wire brushes that can score the surface. The Corner Trim will weather and tone in step with your PuraPro decking and Edge Board, which is the point: every component on the deck ages together as one finished surface rather than drifting apart.
