Egger Graphite Grey ST7 MFC
Add depth and drama to your builds with Egger Graphite Grey ST7 melamine faced chipboard in a handy 16 mm gauge, stocked in our yard for delivery across Ireland. You get a deep charcoal grey decor with a smooth ST7 matt face that hides fingerprints and looks genuinely premium, pressed both sides onto a stable chipboard core. At 2800 by 2070 mm the sheet gives strong yield, and at 16 mm it is ideal for doors, back panels and lighter cabinet parts. A colour matched ABS edging is available to complete every visible edge.
Why Egger MFC?
Melamine faced chipboard lets the surface do the work, and a dark decor like graphite makes that surface count. The fused matt face resists scratches and scuffs and wipes clean easily, which is exactly what a bold colour needs to stay sharp in daily use. Factory pressed decor keeps the tone consistent across sheets, so a full set of dark units looks intentional rather than patched together. The 16 mm core stays flat and machines cleanly for doors and panels. As with all MFC, this is an interior board and should be kept away from persistent moisture.
Installation guidance
A dark matt face shows chipping more than a busy decor, so cut with care. Score the line or use a fine tooth TCT blade and keep the sheet supported throughout the cut. The 16 mm gauge suits doors, drawer fronts and back panels, and takes hinges and standard fittings well. If you use it for shelving, keep spans short because a thinner board deflects sooner under load. Run the decor consistently across paired parts, and handle finished panels carefully to avoid marking the smooth surface before assembly.
Finishing & edge care
The faces are finished, so the edges are your focus. Seal each cut edge with our matching Graphite Grey ST7 ABS edging to protect the core and keep the dark look unbroken from face to edge. Keep the board dry and treat it as an interior product, not one for damp or outdoor use. Clean with a soft damp cloth and avoid abrasive pads and harsh solvents, which can leave dull patches that stand out on a deep matt colour.
