Egger Diamond Grey ST9 MFC – Protective Foil 2 Sides
Order a workshop ready mid grey with Egger Diamond Grey ST9 melamine faced chipboard, supplied with protective foil on both faces and stocked for delivery across Ireland. You get a clean, contemporary mid grey decor with a smooth ST9 matt face, faced both sides onto a stable chipboard core, and the peel off foil keeps the surface pristine through handling, cutting and site delivery. Each sheet measures a full 2800 by 2070 mm at 18 mm thick, and a colour matched ABS edging is available so every edge finishes as cleanly as the face.
Why the protective foil?
Even a durable matt face benefits from protection while a job runs. The factory applied film shields the decor from tool marks, adhesive spatter and site knocks between delivery and install, then peels off cleanly at the end to reveal the untouched surface underneath. The face itself is the same tough Egger MFC found across the range, scratch and scuff resistant and easy to wipe down once the foil is off. The 18 mm core stays flat and stable for carcassing and shelving.
Installation guidance
Leave the foil in place through machining and assembly, cutting through it with a fine tooth TCT blade and a supported sheet so the edge stays chip free. Assemble with confirmat screws, dowels or standard cabinet fittings, which grip the core securely. Keep unsupported shelf spans sensible so the board carries its load without bowing, and add a support on longer runs. Peel the foil off once the unit is in place, working from a corner in one steady motion so no adhesive is left on the face.
Finishing & edge care
With the faces protected and then finished, the edges do the sealing work. Fit our matching Diamond Grey ST9 ABS edging to every cut edge to close off the core and carry the tone unbroken. Keep the board dry through storage and use, and treat it as an interior product only. Clean with a damp cloth after the foil is removed, avoiding abrasive pads and strong solvents that can dull the matt surface.
