PuraTech Composite Corner Trim
The corner trim for the current PuraTech cladding range, profiled to wrap external corners cleanly without the visible joint that an unmitred meeting of two cladding planes produces. Composite construction throughout, in matched Cedar, with the same long-term weather performance as the cladding boards.
Cedar is a soft, mid-honey timber tone that reads convincingly as wood at first glance. It carries enough warmth to soften a contemporary build and enough character to suit a more traditional setting.
What it does
External corners are the most visually exposed detail on a clad elevation, and the easiest place to spot a poor finish. A matched corner trim covers the joint where two cladding planes meet, hiding the cut ends of both boards and giving the corner a single clean line. With composite cladding, mitring boards on site is rarely worth the time and never quite as clean as a purpose-made trim.
Installation guidance
Fixed to the substrate at the corner before cladding boards are run into it, with stainless fixings into pre-drilled pilot holes. The PuraTech installation manual covers corner trim detailing including return corners, tee-junctions where appropriate, and the sequence of corner-then-board to keep cuts clean.
