4×40 mm Stainless Steel Screws
These 4×40 mm stainless steel screws are the fixing we pair with our cladding, sold in a box of 200 so one box goes a long way along a wall. Stainless steel will not rust or leave streaks down the face of your cladding, which matters on a wall you will look at every day. They are stocked in our warehouse for delivery across Ireland.
Compatibility & use
Use them to fix cladding boards to the battens behind. Stainless steel is the right choice for tannin rich timbers such as Cedar and Oak, which stain black around galvanised or mild steel fixings. Check that 40 mm suits your board and batten, so the screw bites well into the batten without passing through it, and pre-drill near board ends.
Some composite cladding systems name their own fixings to keep the warranty valid; PuraTech, for example, calls for PuraFix fasteners. Check the installation guide for your cladding range first.
