Egger Graphite Grey ST7 MFC
Build bold, robust units with Egger Graphite Grey ST7 melamine faced chipboard in a full 18 mm gauge, stocked in our yard for delivery across Ireland. You get a deep charcoal decor with a smooth ST7 matt face that looks genuinely high end and hides fingerprints well, faced both sides onto a solid chipboard core. At 2800 by 2070 mm and 18 mm thick, the sheet is built for carcassing, shelving and worktop grade panels, and a colour matched ABS edging is available to finish every edge cleanly.
Why Egger MFC?
Melamine faced chipboard puts a tough, pre finished surface at the core of your furniture, and a dark decor makes that finish the star. The fused matt face shrugs off scratches and scuffs and wipes clean quickly, keeping a strong colour looking sharp under daily use. Because the decor is factory pressed, tone stays uniform across every sheet, so a full set of graphite units reads as one deliberate design. The 18 mm core is stiff and stable for load bearing parts. Like all MFC, it is an interior board and should be kept clear of persistent moisture.
Installation guidance
A dark matt face shows chipping easily, so score the line or use a fine tooth TCT blade and keep the sheet fully supported during the cut. The 18 mm gauge takes confirmat screws, dowels and cabinet fittings securely, making it ideal for carcasses and structural shelving. Keep shelf spans sensible so the board carries its load without bowing, and add a mid support on longer runs. Run the decor consistently across paired parts, and handle the smooth panels carefully to keep the face mark free before assembly.
Finishing & edge care
With finished faces, the edges are where the detail lives. Seal each cut edge with our matching Graphite Grey ST7 ABS edging to protect the core and carry the dark look right to the edge. Keep the board dry and treat it as an interior product rather than one for damp or exterior settings. Clean with a soft damp cloth and avoid abrasive pads and harsh solvents, which can leave dull marks that show clearly on a deep matt colour.
