Egger Grey Textile ST10 MFC
Bring a soft, tactile warmth to your interiors with Egger Grey Textile ST10 melamine faced chipboard, stocked in our yard for delivery across Ireland. You get a balanced mid grey decor with an ST10 woven fabric texture that reads like fine linen underhand, faced both sides onto a solid chipboard core. Each sheet measures a generous 2800 by 2070 mm at 18 mm thick for high yield, and a colour matched ABS edging is available so every visible edge finishes as cleanly as the face.
Why Egger MFC?
Melamine faced chipboard gives you a pre finished surface that saves time on site and holds up in the real world. The fused face is scratch and scuff resistant and wipes down in seconds, so it suits wardrobes, media units, reception desks and office storage that see constant use. Because the decor is factory pressed, colour and texture stay uniform across every sheet you order, which keeps a run of units looking deliberate. The chipboard core stays flat and stable for carcassing and shelving. Keep in mind this is an interior board and not intended for damp or exterior settings.
Installation guidance
Protect the textured face as you machine it. Score first or use a fine tooth TCT blade to keep the edge crisp and chip free, and support the whole sheet so it does not flex during the cut. Assemble with confirmat screws, dowels or your usual cabinet connectors, which grip the core reliably. For shelves, keep spans in check so an 18 mm board carries its load without sagging, and double up or add support on longer runs. Keep the decor running the same direction on paired parts so the textile pattern lines up.
Finishing & edge care
With the faces already finished, your attention goes to the cut edges. Seal every exposed edge with our matching Grey Textile ST10 ABS edging to close off the core and deliver a factory look. Store and use the board dry, and treat it as an interior product rather than something for wet or outdoor exposure. For upkeep, wipe with a damp cloth and steer clear of abrasive pads and strong solvents that could flatten the texture or dull the surface.
