Brown Warmia Walnut H1307 ST19 Melamine Faced Chipboard
Get a flawless, ready-to-use woodgrain finish straight off the board with Brown Warmia Walnut H1307 ST19 — a genuine Egger Eurodekor melamine faced chipboard, stocked in our yard for delivery across Ireland. The rough-sawn grey oak décor and ST10 Deepskin Rough texture give you the handcrafted look of reclaimed timber on a tough, wipe-clean surface, so you skip veneering and finishing entirely. FSC certified and E1 rated, it’s the panel joiners reach for when carcassing has to look as good as it performs.
Why melamine-faced chipboard?
At its heart sits a stable P2-grade chipboard core, faced both sides with a decorative melamine paper fused under heat and pressure. That surface gives you real durability: it resists scratches, abrasion and household chemicals, and cleans up with a damp cloth. The E1 formaldehyde classification keeps emissions low for indoor furniture, while FSC certification means the timber fibre is responsibly sourced. Because both faces are sealed and balanced, the board stays flat and true — ideal for wardrobes, cabinets, shelving and carcassing where you need a consistent, repeatable finish across every panel.
Installation guidance
Working with melamine takes a little care but rewards you with crisp results. Cut with a fine-toothed or scoring blade and support the board fully to stop the surface chipping along the cut — a strip of masking tape over the cut line helps. The Brown Warmia Walnut décor is directional, so plan your layout and run the grain the same way across matching panels for a seamless look. For shelving, keep supports closer together on longer spans to prevent sag, and pre-drill before fixing. At 18mm and roughly 69kg per full sheet, an extra pair of hands makes handling safer.
Finishing & edge care
The faces need no painting, sealing or lacquer — that’s the whole point of a melamine panel. The one job left to you is the edges. Any cut exposes the raw chipboard core, so finish visible edges with matching H1307 ST19 ABS edging for a clean, durable join — ask us to add it to your order. Keep this board to interior, dry environments: as a P2 chipboard it isn’t moisture resistant and shouldn’t be used in bathrooms, externally, or anywhere prone to damp. Sealed edges and dry conditions are all it takes to keep your work looking sharp for years.
