PuraFence Royal Slatted Composite Fencing Gate

The matching gate for the PuraFence Royal slatted fencing range, supplied as a self-assembly kit in Dark Grey and stocked in our yard for delivery across Ireland. You build the frame and cut the composite boards into slats, so once finished the slat spacing matches the rest of the Royal range and the gate blends into the fence line as a continuous slatted run rather than reading as an inserted feature.

Dark Grey is a deep, even mid-grey with a hint of warmth, dark enough to ground a contemporary scheme without tipping into black. It works well against pale render, light stone, and bright planting where a sharper contrast is wanted.

What’s in the kit

The gate ships flat, not pre-built. You get the frame components, four slatted composite boards, and the hinges and latch hardware, all sized for the gate. Assembly fixings are included, but cutting and building tools are not, so have your own ready. Nothing arrives hung, squared, or attached.

Where it fits

Side access on contemporary properties, garden entrances on landscape projects with longer sightlines, and any setting where the Royal slatted aesthetic continues across the gate. The lighter frame loading also makes the Royal gate the easier choice on softer ground or where post fixings have to be specified conservatively.

Installation guidance

Assemble the frame first. Each of the four composite boards is then cut into three, and the twelve lengths stack into the frame to form the slatted infill, which is what gives the gate the same slat spacing as the rest of the Royal range. Cut accurately and build the frame square, as this is what keeps the latch aligned to its keep over time. The finished gate is hung between two PuraFence H-profile posts set to gate-specific spacing, with hardware fixed through the post and latch aligned to the closing post. Care & maintenance

Once built, upkeep is minimal. Give the composite a periodic wash with warm water and a brush, and avoid high-pressure washing above the rated bar and harsh solvents, both of which can mark the surface.
