Tebo Marine Plywood is manufactured to meet BS 1088 British standards
Lightweight Okoume face and core construction with excellent resistance to damp conditions
Resists delamination and fungal attack; built for boat-building, walkways and wet-area work
Sapele face and core variants available on request where greater durability is the priority
Needs stainless or hot-dip galvanised fixings; plain steel corrodes in the conditions the panel is built for
Cut edges expose unprotected core glue lines; seal all cut edges before installing in wet environments

4 mm okoume marine plywood is the thinnest and lightest board in the range, and it is the one you can carry, cut and fit single handed. It is okoume all the way through, bonded to BS 1088 to survive getting wet.
Camper van and boat interiors are the main use, because weight is the constraint on everything: wall and ceiling panels, the backs of lockers, drawer bottoms and infill panels inside a frame. At 4 mm it also bends, following a gentle curve straight off the sheet without steaming or soaking, which is what you want for a van roof, a curved bulkhead or a boat hull side. Away from vehicles it suits bath panels, shower ceiling panels and any thin lining in a room that gets steamy.
Cutting and handling
Easy to handle at 5.9 kg but awkwardly floppy. Carry it flat where you can, and support it across its width when you cut it or it will sag into the blade. Thin okoume is soft and marks easily, so use a fine toothed blade, put a scrap board underneath, and keep it off gritty floors.
Fixing and painting
Fix it with staples, pins or screws through the face into a frame. There is nothing to screw into at this thickness, so it always needs something behind it. Seal both faces and every edge before it goes in: a thin board takes up water far faster than a thick one simply because there is less of it.
Where not to use it
Marine bonding is about the glue, not about the board being waterproof in itself, so it still has to be sealed and it is not a board to leave bare in the weather. At 4 mm it will not span or carry anything either. Where a panel has to hold a fixing, start at 9 mm. The rest of the range is on the marine plywood page, and the other grades on the plywood page.
